Established in 1953 and Registered as Society on 27th April 1954 as a Non-profitable Charitable Voluntary Organization serving the cause of the underprivileged. Every year accounts are audited and registered.

Programmes to be implemented

  1. To provide free food, hostel facilities, clothing and basic education to orphans and destitute children irrespective of caste and religions.
  2. To upgrade the present Aided Middle School to High and Higher Secondary School.
  3. To start an Industrial Training Institute.
  4. To start a Polytechnic College.
  5. To start an Arts and Science College for Women.
  6. To teach Thirukkural and Thiruarutpa to children of the home and others.
  7. Preparing the children as selfless citizen to serve the country and to enlarge their knowledge in Tamil.
  8. To encourage and bring out the inherent abilities and skills in students and teachers in Arts, Science and Handicrafts.
  9. To arrange for scholarships and prizes for the students bright in Tamil Prose, Poetry and Drama.
  10. To start a library for the public.
  11. To start a dispensary and also to arrange medical and dental camp.
  12. To accept donations, grants, prizes and other helps from Government and Public and to use it for the welfare of the Society.
  13. To work for the improvement of women in general, and specifically for the widows and economically poor.


Siddha Sakthi ArutJothi Vallalar Kalvi Nilayam

Siddha Sakthi Arutjothi Vallalar Kalvi Nilayam is an organization trying to make a difference in the lives of the deprived children since 1953. Located at Lingathadimedu, a village in Southern part of India, at about 290 kms (182 miles) south of Chennai city (Madras) in rural settings at the junction of two rivulets. This place is very near to the Arasu Cement Factory(TANCEM), Ariyalur and also near Varadha Raja Perumal Swamy Temple at Kallankurichi. Started in the year 1953 by then, Member of Legislative Assembly Mr. K. R. Viswanathan MA, lovingly known as KRV to fight for the most valuable resources of this world, OUR CHILDREN, and has been serving the poor and downtrodden for more than 65 years. It was registered under the Societies Act in the year 1954 as a Non-Profit Charitable Voluntary Organization serving the cause of the underpriviledged.


Saint Murugananda Adigalar

Saint Murugananda Adigalar came to Lingathadimedu in 1953 and stayed for 10 months there. At that time the then Member of Legislative Assembly of Jayankondam Constituency visited him. Murugananda Adigalar asked Mr. K.R Viswanathan to start an orphanage. Murugananda Adigalar also offered his blessings to start the orphanage and gave him a small amount. He also named the institution as, “Siddha Sakthi Arutjothi Vallalar Kalvi Nilayam”. Thavathiru Murugananda Adigalar was born in Sivagiri of Tirunelveli District. At the age of 24, he became a Saint with the consent of his parents. He dedicated himself to the Teachings of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar and advocated Vallalar’s Principles among the people. Kanyakumari to Kasmir he established about 108 ashrams to spread the ideals of Vallalar. Among the ashrams, the ashrams at Vadalur (Cuddalore Dist), Lingathadimedu (Ariyalur Dist), Ivarmalai (Dindugal Dist) and AdhiVayalur (Trichy Dist) are worth mentioning. His Samadhi is at Vadalur ashram.
